Medical Description
Dinitag dry suspension is an antibiotic used to treat certain bacterial infections of the throat, lungs, ears, skin and urinary tract. It contains cefdinir, a cephalosporin antibiotic that may be prescribed for children when a clinician confirms a suitable bacterial infection. Cefdinir stops susceptible bacteria from building the protective cell wall they need to survive, so it does not treat viral colds or flu. Dinitag dry suspension is prepared with water, shaken well and given by mouth using the measuring device supplied with the pack, under a doctor's direction.
