Daplin Duo gel is a dermatological medication. The main use of Daplin Duo gel is to treat various signs and symptoms of moderate to severe acne. This medication lowers the severity of the blocked por
es, which leads to comedones and pustules. This gel can be used on the face, back, chest and other areas of the body. This gel consists of Adapalene and Benzoyl peroxide as its main ingredients. The mode of action of Daplin Duo gel is to increase the cell turnover on the skin and control the cell cycle. It also reduces the inflammation and swelling caused due to acne. It also reduces excessive oil production and clears the pores that are blocked. This gel is for external use only. This medication is contraindicated in pregnant and nursing women as it can lead to congenital disabilities. Try to follow the doctor’s directions for using the Daplin Duo gel. The dosage and duration of this gel will be advised by the doctor. Try to avoid direct contact with this gel to the eye, nose, ears, and mouth. In the beginning, the patient may experience flaking, burning sensation, peeling, and redness at the site of application, along with other side effects of Daplin Duo gel. They will subside once you get used to the medicine in a few weeks. If not, then inform your doctor so the dose of this gel will be changed or a different medication will be given. Try to avoid direct sun exposure while using this gel. It should be used only at night. It is better to cover the treated areas with clothing and use sunscreen before stepping out in the sun.

Uses of Daplin Duo Gel 10gm
- As per CDSCO, the Daplin Duo gel is used on the skin to treat the symptoms and infection due to acne vulgaris.
Contraindications of Daplin Duo Gel 10gm
- If you have a known hypersensitive reaction to Adapalene, Benzoyl peroxide, or any other components of this gel.
- If you are currently pregnant or planning for a pregnancy, please inform your doctor before using Daplin Duo gel.
- If you are breastfeeding while using this gel.
- If you are using Daplin Duo gel on a child without asking your doctor.
- If you have broken skin or any open wound on the site of application.
- If you use any astringents or low pH (acidic) products on the skin, especially at the beginning of the usage.

Other General Warnings
- You have applied Daplin Duo gel directly in the eye. Repeated direct exposure to excess amounts of this medicine in the eyes is not safe.
- You experience blurred vision or other vision disturbances.
- You experience any redness, swelling, flaking, peeling, or burning sensation on the face after applying the Daplin Duo gel for more than 2 weeks.
- You are exposed to direct sunlight for a long duration; this gel can cause a burning sensation when exposed to the sun in the starting few weeks of using this medicine.
- You have severe types of acne, such as severe nodular or deep nodulocystic acne. This medicine may not be as effective in such cases.
- You are using any dye or bleaching products on the skin or hair.

How Does It Work?
Directions for Use of Daplin Duo Gel 10gm
- Apply the Daplin Duo gel exactly in recommended dose and duration.
- You can use Daplin Duo gel only at night before sleeping. Do not use it in the daytime due to its photosensitive effects.
- Do not use more than the recommended amount of this gel at one time without informing the doctor, as this can lead to many side effects.
- Apply this gel on clean and dry skin after washing your hands.
- Check the expiration date before using Daplin Duo gel.
- Do not use Daplin duo gel with other topical products without informing your doctor.

Interactions with other medicines
- If you are using other similar retinoid or vitamin A products along with Daplin Duo gel, inform your doctor. It is not recommended as combinations of these medicines can increase the severity of the side effects such as peeling, redness, burning, tightness, or dryness of the skin....
- Try to avoid using various topical skin products that can sensitise the skin and cause excess irritation, such as harsh soaps, hair removers or waxes, products with acids, etc., while using Daplin Duo gel. They can cause burning sensation, redness, swelling, itching, flaking, etc....
- While using Daplin Duo gel, do not use skin products that contain alcohol, spices, astringents, or lime in them.
- Avoid using other topical medications on the same areas you treat with Daplin Duo gel topical unless the doctor tells you to.
- If you are using some ayurvedic or herbal products for the treatment of skin infections or acne, inform the doctor as they may interfere with the functioning of Daplin Duo gel.
