- Benzodiazepines (diazepam) can cause drowsiness and abnormal consciousness.
- Amino acids like tryptophan can cause agitation, restlessness, and diarrhoea.

- Food items rich in tryptophan amino acids should be avoided. Examples of such food items are cheese, nuts, milk, and oats.
