Medical Description
Concor COR 2.5 tablet is an anti-hypertensive medicine used to treat high blood pressure and angina (chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart). Its active ingredient, bisoprolol, works by slowing the heart rate and relaxing blood vessels, helping to reduce high blood pressure.
Before taking Concor COR 2.5 tablet, inform your doctor if you have any of the following conditions: severe kidney or liver disease, diabetes, are on strict fasting, are undergoing desensitization therapy, have a history of a scaly skin rash (e.g., psoriasis), pheochromocytoma, thyroid disorder, or are scheduled for general anaesthesia.
Concor COR 2.5 tablet should not be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women unless necessary. Always consult your physician before using this medication.
Common side effects of Concor COR 2.5 tablet include tiredness, weakness, dizziness, headache, tingling or numbness in the hands or feet, low blood pressure, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, or constipation. If these symptoms worsen or persist, seek medical attention.
Children should not take this medication. Take Concor COR 2.5 exactly as prescribed by your doctor, in the recommended doses and for the advised duration. It can be taken with or without food. Avoid missing doses or taking more than the recommended amount.
Corbis tablet, Bisoheart tablet, Bisonol tablet, Bisotab tablet, and Biselect tablet are some other tablets with bisoprolol as their active ingredient.

- If you are allergic to bisoprolol or any other ingredients of Concor COR 2.5 tablet.
- If you have problems with your heart like heart failure, etc.
- If you are suffering from asthma or low blood pressure.
- If you have any blood circulation problems.
- If you have a rare tumour of the adrenal gland (phaeochromocytoma).
- If your doctor has told you that you have metabolic acidosis (a condition when there is too much acid in your blood).

Directions for Use
- Concor COR 2.5 tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor.
- Swallow it whole with a glass of water. Do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
- It can be taken with or without food.
- It would be best if you took it at a fixed time for optimal results.
- You should not consume it more than that prescribed by your doctor.

Interactions with other medicines
- Concor COR 2.5 tablet may interact with other medicines if taken at the same time.
- Always inform your doctor about all the medicine you are taking, that includes all prescribed or non-prescribed herbal medicines, dietary supplements as well as other treatments you are taking for any disorder.
- In particular, if you are taking other anti-hypertensives, anti-diabetic medicines like insulin, anti-tuberculosis medicine, medicines for respiratory problems, painkillers, anti-coagulants like warfarin etc.
- Concomitant use of Concor COR 2.5 tablet with anaesthetics like lidocaine, may cause fast heartbeats and may also increase the risk of high blood pressure and thus should be used with caution.
- Concomitant use of Concor COR 2.5 tablet with medicines to treat brain-related disorders like fluvoxamine, and imipramine may cause slow heartbeats.
- Concomitant use of along with tobacco may cause an increase in heart rate and may impair blood pressure control thus you should avoid smoking tobacco.
- Also, you should inform your doctor if you have a planned surgery or vaccination schedule.
