  • Bromhexine is a mucolytic agent which relieves cough by thinning and loosening the phlegm from the airways and facilitating its removal.
  • Dextromethorphan is an antitussive medicine that suppresses the cough center of the brain responsible for the cough.
  • Ammonium chloride with its irritative action acts on the cells which leads to the production of fluid in the airways that helps in the removal of the phlegm or the cough.
