Description
Co Trimoxazole Ds Tablet is a combination medicine containing trimethoprim and sulfamethoxazole, which are antibiotics. It is used to treat bacterial infections of the airways, urinary tract, genital
s, stomach, bowel, and other areas. Trimethoprim functions by killing bacteria, while sulfamethoxazole inhibits their growth. Some side effects of using Co Trimoxazole Ds Tablet include muscle cramps, irregular heartbeat, tiredness or weakness, nausea, and loose motions. These side effects are usually temporary and resolve on their own. If side effects persist or your condition does not improve over time, please inform your doctor.

Uses
Co Trimoxazole Ds Tablet is used for the treatment of bacterial infection of airways, urinary tract, genital, stomach, bowel etc.
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to trimethoprim, sulfamethoxazole, cotrimoxazole or any other ingredients of Co Trimoxazole Ds Tablet.
- If you are allergic to sulfonamide medicine.
- If you have severe liver or kidney disease.
- If you are using Co Trimoxazole Ds Tablet for the treatment of your baby of age less than 6 weeks.
- If you had bruises or bleeding due to a decrease in platelet count in your blood.
Side effects
- Muscle cramps
- Irregular heartbeat
- Tiredness or weakness
- Hyperkalaemia (high level of potassium in the blood)
- Nausea, Diarrhoea
- Loose motions
- Headache
- Rash over skin
- Increase risk of fungal infection
