Medical Description
Clofert Max tablet is a combination medicine that is used to treat female infertility. It contains clomiphene and ubidecarenone as active ingredients. It increases the chances of pregnancy in women who are not being able to conceive due to ovulation-related problems or PCODs (polycystic ovary syndrome). It should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. Generally, it is not prescribed for a longer duration. Before using this medicine, inform the doctor about your detailed medical history including all the medicines you are currently taking. Also, before starting this medicine you must also know that Clofert Max tablets can increase the chances of multiple pregnancies (twins or more) or ectopic pregnancy (fertilized egg implants outside the uterus).
Uses
- It is used for the treatment of infertility in females who wish to become pregnant.
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to Clofert Max tablet or any of the ingredients of this medicine.
- If you are pregnant.
- If you are suffering from any pre-existing medical conditions such as liver problems.
- If you have or ever a had cyst in the uterus.
- If you have any type of hormone-dependent cancer.
- If you have unusual menstrual bleeding.
- If you are scheduled for any surgery in the coming weeks.

- You notice visual disturbance or blurred vision.
- You are having early menopause.
- You experience abnormal vaginal bleeding.
- You develop fibroids in the uterus, in such situations caution is advised as it may enlarge the fibroid.
- You have or have a family history of an excess of fats in the blood (hypertriglyceridaemia).
- You experience any stomach discomfort or lower abdominal pain.
- If you have diabetes and suffering from low blood pressure, you may experience a sudden fall in blood sugar levels and blood pressure after taking this medicine.
- The doctor should also educate you about the possibilities of few conditions that may occur after taking this medicine like there are chances of multiple pregnancies (twins or more) or ectopic pregnancy (in which the fertilized egg implants outside the uterus).
Directions for Use
- Take Clofert Max tablets exactly as directed by your doctor.
- Swallow it whole with a glass of water, without food.
- Do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
- It should be taken in doses and frequency as prescribed by your doctor and should not be taken for a duration longer than prescribed.

How Does It Work?
- Gonadotrophins are the reproductive hormones that are responsible for ovulation or egg release in women. Clomiphene works by enhancing the release of gonadotrophins than normal. Thereby helps in stimulating the ovaries to ovulate (release eggs).
- Whereas Ubidecarenone is also called Co-enzyme Q10 that acts as an antioxidant. It provides energy to the cells and is responsible for the proper function of many organs and chemical reactions in the body.
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Certain medicines can interfere with the action of Clofert Max tablets if taken at the same time. Always inform your doctor about all the medicines you are taking, that includes all prescribed or non-prescribed herbal medicines, dietary supplements as well as other treatment if you are taking for any disorder to avoid any possible drug interactions.
- Concomitant use of Clofert Max tablets with blood pressure lowering medicines can lead to a sudden drop in blood pressure.
- Clofert Max tablet can decrease the efficacy of anti-cancer medicines if taken along.
- Simultaneous use of Clofert Max tablets may reduce the potency of anticoagulant medicines like warfarin.
