Alkacitral syrup contains disodium hydrogen citrate as the active substance. It is used in treating gout and certain kidney stones. It alkalizes urine by increasing its pH. This increases the solubil

Alkacitral syrup should be used with caution in patients suffering from any kidney, heart, or lung disease or who have high sodium or potassium levels in the body.
