How Does It Work?
Celavi M tablet contains metoprolol, a beta-blocker that lowers blood pressure by acting on the beta-adrenergic receptors and increasing vasodilation. In addition, Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker, which blocks the influx of calcium ions and prevents vasoconstriction. This effect reduces the blood pressure and the workload on the heart....
Directions for Use of Celavi M 10/50mg Tablets 15'S
- Take this medication in the dose and for the duration as advised by your doctor
- Do not chew, crush or break the tablet in half
- Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water
- Take it with or without food as advised by your doctor
Interactions of Celavi M 10/50mg Tablets 15'S
Interactions with other medicines
- Concomitant use of this medication with beta-blocking agents may have additive effects
- Concomitant use of metoprolol succinate with catecholamine depletor may cause hypotension and cause vertigo, and syncope
- The medication can show an increase in metoprolol concentration and adverse effects with phenytoin, quinidine, rifampicin and antipsychotic medications
- Coadministration of cyclosporin with cilnidipine increases the risk or severity of hyperkalemia
- Coadministration of octreotide may increase the bradycardic activity of cilnidipine
- The risk of hyperkalemia increases when this medication is taken with valsartan or ramipril
- Concomitant use of reserpine with cilnidipine increases the risk of adverse effects
- Celavi tablet, when used with lidocaine, may increase the arrhythmogenic activities of cilnidipine
