Candidox 1 %W/W Description

Candidox 1% cream is an antifungal medicine containing ciclopirox as its active ingredient. It is used for the local treatment of fungal skin infections at sites like between toes, moist areas of the

body like thighs, groin and other parts of the body. This medicine works by interfering with the multiplication of fungus within fungal cells and inhibits the growth of fungus. Do not use this cream if you are allergic to any of the components of this medicine and stop using this cream if you develop any redness, itching, swelling, burning or irritation at the site of application after using this cream. It is meant only for external application and should be applied exactly as recommended by your doctor. It can cause common local side effects like unpleasant sensation on the skin that leads to urge to scratch. Please report to your doctor if you notice the side effects persist or worsen. Always apply this medicine for the number of days as informed by your doctor and do not stop without prior consultation with your doctor.

How Does It Work?

Candidox 1% cream interferes with certain chemical substances within fungal cells. This result in the degradation of the fungus and thus inhibits the growth of fungus.

Directions for Use of Candidox 1 %W/W

Use Candidox 1% cream as directed by your doctor.
This cream is for external use only. Apply it on a healthy skin surface free from cuts and wounds.
Always wash your hands before and after using this medicine unless your hands are the area to be treated.
Do not use this cream in or around your eyes, including eyelids.
In case your eyes come in contact with this medicine rinse your eyes with clean water immediately.
Apply this cream to form a thin layer on the affected skin and surrounding areas.
Do not apply any pressure or do not wrap the area of application with dressings.
