Candid V1 Vaginal Tablet is an anti-fungal medicine used to treat a vaginal infection called vaginal candidiasis (vaginal thrush). Vaginal candidiasis is a fungal infection that causes vaginal itchin

g, pain or discomfort when urinating, abnormal vaginal discharge, and /or pain during sexual intercourse. Candid V1 Vaginal Tablet contains clotrimazole as the active substance that works by preventing the growth and multiplication of infection-causing fungi. Women under 16 years and above 60 years of age should consult their doctor before using this medicine.Candid V1 Vaginal Tablet is for external use only. It should only be inserted into the vagina. Use this medicine exactly as recommended by your doctor. Do not use this medicine on your own.

How Does It Work?

Candid V1 Vaginal Tablet stops the growth and multiplication of infection-causing fungi by destroying its cell membrane. This provides relief of pain, itching, and reduces discharge.

Directions for Use of Candid V1 500 MG

Always use this medicine exactly as recommended by your doctor.
Do not use more than the prescribed dose.
This tablet is for vaginal use only. Do not swallow it.
Insert the tablet as deep as possible into your vagina preferably at bedtime.
Wash your hands thoroughly before and after using this medicine.
Do not discontinue the medicine on your own without consulting your doctor

Interactions with other medicines

Since Candid V1 Vaginal Tablet is to be used externally, it is less likely to interact with other medicines.

Candid V1 Vaginal Tablet may damage contraceptives made of latex. It is recommended to use other methods of birth control when using this medicine.
The use of Candid V1 Vaginal Tablet along with other antifungal medicines such as amphotericin and nystatin can cause a decreased effectiveness of these medicines.
The use of Candid V1 Vaginal Tablet together with tacrolimus (medicine to prevent rejection of a transplanted organ) can cause an increase in the blood level of tacrolimus.
