Calford tablet is a nutritional supplement used to support bone health, including after menopause when a clinician identifies a nutritional need. It contains a combination of calcium citrate malate, fructo-oligosaccharides, vitamin D3, magnesium hydroxide, copper, zinc and manganese. Calcium and vitamin D3 support bone mineralisation, while the minerals contribute to normal tissue and bone functions. Fructo-oligosaccharides are a prebiotic ingredient that may affect bowel comfort. The tablet is taken by mouth and does not replace assessment of osteoporosis, joint pain or inflammation.
