Bisolong D 2.5mg Strip Of 10 Tablets
Description
Bisolong D tablet is a fixed-dose combination medicine containing dapagliflozin and bisoprolol. It is prescribed for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with co-existing Heart Failure or Cardiovascular Risks, controlling blood sugar while reducing heart strain and improving heart function. This medicine helps control high blood sugar levels while also managing blood pressure and reducing strain on the heart. Bisolong D tablet is used along with a healthy diet, regular exercise, and other lifestyle modifications as advised by your doctor to lower the risk of long-term complications affecting the heart, kidneys, nerves, eyes, and blood vessels.
Bisolong D tablet works through a dual mechanism of action. Dapagliflozin lowers blood sugar levels by inhibiting glucose reabsorption in the kidneys, allowing excess sugar to be eliminated through urine. Bisoprolol belongs to a class of medicines called beta-blockers and works by slowing down the heart rate and relaxing blood vessels. This helps reduce blood pressure, improve blood flow, and decrease the workload on the heart, making it easier for the heart to pump blood efficiently.
Bisolong D tablet should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The tablet should be swallowed whole with a glass of water and should not be crushed, broken, or chewed. It can be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day for optimal results. Do not skip doses or stop taking this medicine abruptly, as it may worsen your condition. Always follow your doctor’s advice regarding dose adjustments, especially if you are taking other medicines for diabetes or blood pressure.
Some common side effects of Bisolong D tablet may include dizziness, tiredness, headache, low blood sugar (especially when used with insulin or other anti-diabetic medicines), increased frequency of urination, genital or urinary tract infections, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, and low blood pressure. Most side effects are mild and temporary, but if they persist or worsen, you should consult your doctor. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience symptoms such as severe dizziness, very slow heartbeat, breathing difficulty, signs of dehydration, or symptoms suggestive of diabetic ketoacidosis.
