Medical Description

Azunate Tablet is an antimalarial medicine used to treat malaria. It contains artesunate. Your doctor will add other antimalarial medicines along with this Tablet to treat your malaria infection completely. It works by generating harmful chemicals (free radicals) inside the malarial parasite, ultimately leading to its death. Headache, nausea, and discomfort are some common side effects of this medicine. However, these are temporary and go away on their own. Before starting it, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history. Swallow the tablets as a whole. Do not crush or chew. Take exactly as directed by your doctor.
