How Does It Work?
Asar Ct tablet contains two components: Azilsartan Medoxomil and Chlorthalidone. Azilsartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist that lowers blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic that inhibits sodium reabsorption in the distal convoluted tubule and removes excess water and electrolytes from the body....
Directions for Use of Asar Ct 40mg/6.25mg Strip Of 10 Tablets
- Take this tablet for the dose and duration prescribed by your physician
- Do not break, chew or crush this tablet
- Swallow the tablet with a glass of water
Interactions of Asar Ct 40mg/6.25mg Strip Of 10 Tablets
Interactions with other medicines
- Concomitant use of lithium and angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors may cause an increase in serum lithium concentrations and toxicity
- Concomitant use of potassium-sparing diuretics may increase potassium levels in the blood
- Concomitant use of NSAIDs and angiotensin II receptor antagonists may lead to an increased risk of the renal functioning
- Co-administration of corticosteroids with diuretics leads to increased activity of corticosteroids
- Co-administration of certain NSAIDs may reduce the diuretic and antihypertensive efficacy of chlorthalidone
- Anticholinergic agents increase the bioavailability of thiazide-type diuretics
- Concomitant treatment with cyclosporin increases the risk of hyperuricaemia and gout-type situation
- The renal clearance of lithium is reduced in the presence of thiazide diuretics
