Medical Description
Arkafol tablet is used to prevent or correct folate deficiency and to support treatment of folate-deficiency megaloblastic anaemia. It contains folic acid, a form of vitamin B9 needed to make genetic material and healthy red blood cells. Folic acid supports normal cell division and red blood cell maturation when folate levels are low. Arkafol tablet is taken by mouth under medical advice, including when a clinician identifies increased folate needs during pregnancy or another period of deficiency risk. It should not replace assessment of anaemia with an uncertain cause.
