• Ambulax Hd tablet is used for the following reasons:
• Treatment of anxiety disorder
• Treatment of the panic disorder
• Short-term treatment for anxiety-related to depression

• It is contraindicated in the following cases:
• If you are allergic to any component of the Ambulax Hd tablet, i.e. alprazolam and propranolol
• If you are taking medicines like antidepressants, anti-anxiety or sedative medications, narcotic or opioid pain relievers
• If you have glaucoma (increases the fluid pressure in the eyes)
• If you have respiratory depression, which is a slow and steady decline in breathing
• If you have alcohol or substance addiction.
• If you have liver or kidney problems
• If you have certain respiratory problems like asthma, sleep apnea, etc.
• If you see sudden mood changes, suicidal thoughts or other harmful behaviour

• Side effects of Ambulax Hd Tablet include the following:
• Drowsiness
• Weakness
• Dry mouth
• Sleep problems
• Slow heart rate
• Nightmares
• Loss of balance

Other General Warnings

• You have any allergic reactions after taking the Ambulax Hd tablet.
• You have any self-harming thoughts or suicidal ideation.
• You are an elderly patient over 65 years. These tablets may cause serious adverse effects due to slow metabolism in elderly patients.
• You have mild or severe liver and kidney diseases; this medicine may need a dose adjustment.
• You have stopped the medication and experiencing withdrawal symptoms like agitation, tremor, sweating, nausea and confusion.
• You are pregnant or planning a pregnancy during this medicine.
• You are using oral contraceptives.
• You are using any ayurvedic/herbal medicines, vitamins, and other health supplements.

• Take Ambulax Hd tablet as prescribed by the doctor.
• Take Ambulax Hd tablet on a regular schedule with or without food or as prescribed, preferably at the same time every day.
• Swallow the whole tablet orally with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew this medicine.
• Do not take Ambulax Hd with other medications as it may lead to interaction.
• Do not stop taking this medication suddenly, as it may lead to withdrawal side effects.
• Do not exceed the dosage on your own.

How Does It Work?

Interactions with other medicines

• Tell your doctor about all your prescription and non-prescription medications, herbal products, vitamins and nutritional supplements you are consuming or plan to take. There is a chance of substance interaction. Many medicines can interact with Ambulax Hd tablets, making them less effective or increasing the side effects.
• Ambulax Hd tablet interaction with antidepressants or mood-elevating medicines like fluoxetine and desipramine can cause increased side effects.
• Ambulax Hd tablet interaction with antihistamines (allergy medicines), Pain killers, such as morphine, oxycodone, fentanyl, hydrocodone, tramadol, codeine, sleeping pills, etc., can increase drowsiness and fatigue.
• Ambulax Hd tablet interaction with antifungal medications like fluconazole, itraconazole, and ketoconazole can reduce its effects.
• Ambulax Hd tablets can reduce the effectiveness of oral contraceptives or birth control pills. So, it is advised to use other contraceptive methods like condoms.
• Ambulax Hd tablet may also interact with herbal supplements like St. John’s wort and can lead to severe side effects.

Interactions with food items

• You can continue with the regular diet as food does not influence the effect of the Ambulax Hd tablet. However, it would help if you avoided caffeine-containing diets, grapefruit and its juice, as it may reduce the effectiveness of the Ambulax Hd tablet.
