Medical Description

Ambrodex L Syrup contains four active molecules, namely, ambroxol, guaifenesin, levocetirizine and menthol. This medicine is used to get relief from cough and symptoms of allergic rhinitis or seasonal allergies, such as runny nose and sneezing. Ambroxol and guanidenesin helps to loosen the mucous, levocetirizine blocks the action of a molecule called as histamine which causes allergy symptoms, and menthol has a soothing effect. Ambrodex L Syrup is available on prescription and should be taken at a dose and for a duration recommended by your doctor. This medicine is not recommended in children below 12 years. It is also not recommended if you are allergic to any ingredients of Ambrodex L Syrup or if you have kidney problems. Common side effects of this syrup include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach irritation, anxiety, and excitement. If these side effects persists or worsens, seek medical advice immediately.
