Description

Alkepin Odt Tablet is a medicine used to treat schizophrenia. It contains clozapine as the main chemical ingredient. It belongs to the class of dibenzodiazepine derived antipsychotics. It means that

they act on the receptors of some chemical messengers in the brain to cause a relaxing and soothing effect. Alkepin Odt Tablet is highly beneficial for patients with schizophrenia where other treatment medicines do not work. Even though it takes some days to a few weeks to treat the symptoms of the disease, this medicine is very effective. Alkepin Odt Tablet should be taken at the same time every day. It is a prescription medicine and should never be taken without consultation with the doctor. It can interact with certain foods and should never be consumed with alcohol. Some common side effects of Alkepin Odt Tablet include vomiting, nausea, xerostomia (dryness in the mouth), weight gain, low sexual desires, etc. If the side effects cause problems or persist for long, it is best to consult a doctor.

Contraindications of Alkepin Odt 50 MG

If you’ve Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD).
If you have obesity (excessive weight because of high concentration of fat deposits).
If you’ve uncontrolled hypertension (high blood pressure).
If you have diabetes (increased blood sugar levels).
If you have arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat).
If you have any other uncontrolled heart disease.
If you have liver disease.
If you have been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism (increased thyroid levels).
