Description
Alensol D tablet contains a combination of Alendronic Acid (Alendronate) and Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) as its active ingredients. It is used in the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis, a condition in which bones become weak and fragile, especially in post-menopausal women, elderly individuals, and people receiving long-term steroid therapy. This medicine helps strengthen bones and reduces the risk of fractures.
Alendronate works by slowing down bone breakdown and increasing bone density, while Vitamin D3 enhances the absorption of calcium from the intestine and supports proper bone mineralization. Together, these ingredients help maintain bone strength, improve bone density, and prevent further bone loss.
Alensol D tablet should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. It must be taken on an empty stomach with a full glass of water, preferably in the morning. Contraindications
- If you are allergic to Alendronic Acid (Alendronate), Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) or any other ingredients of Alensol D tablet.
- If you have problems with your oesophagus, that makes it difficult to swallow or your food gets stuck.
- If you find it difficult to stand or sit straight for at least half an hour.
- If you have low calcium levels in your blood.
