Acrotac Capsule is an anti-psoriasis medication. It contains acitretin as the active substance. Acrotac Capsule is used in the treatment of psoriasis - severe skin problems where the skin has become
thick and scaly and which does not respond properly to other treatments. Take Acrotac Capsule in the exact dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine on your own. Before starting Acrotac Capsule, inform your doctor if you are pregnant/breastfeeding and about your complete medical history.

Uses of Acrotac 25 MG
- Acrotac Capsule is used to treat psoriasis together with a dry, scaling, waxy rash.
- It is also used for the treatment of other skin disorders like ichthyosis (a condition where keratin is deposited in cells and the cells become horny like nails and hair), pityriasis (disorder in which a skin rash occurs), and other skin conditions where small elevations of skin and mucosa (lichen ruber) occur....
Contraindications of Acrotac 25 MG
- If you are allergic to acitretin or to other retinoid medicines or any of the other ingredients of Acrotac Capsule.
- If you are taking an antibiotic called tetracycline or a medicine called methotrexate (used in the treatment of cancer, psoriasis, and rheumatoid arthritis). If you are not sure what these medicines are, please confirm with your doctor. ...
- If you are pregnant, there is a chance you could become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
- If you have liver or kidney problems.
- If you have high levels of fat or cholesterol in your blood.
- If you use other retinoid medicines or medicines, vitamins, or foods that contain high levels of vitamin A (more than 5000 IU per day).
- If you are taking a contraceptive pill that has only a low progesterone content.
- If you are under 18 years of age.

How Does It Work?
Acrotac Capsule brings about a normalization of the growth cycle of skin cells and hence reverses the changes that have occurred in the skin.
Directions for Use of Acrotac 25 MG
- Take Acrotac Capsule as a whole with sufficient water.
- Always take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
- Do not cut, break, or chew the medicine.
- Do not consume more than the prescribed dose.
- Do not discontinue the medicine on your own without consulting your doctor.
Interactions of Acrotac 25 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way Acrotac Capsule works, or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Inform your doctor about all the medicines, supplements, or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
- Acrotac Capsule should not be taken together with the antibiotic tetracycline (used for the treatment of bacterial infections), methotrexate (used in the treatment of cancer, psoriasis, and rheumatoid arthritis), a contraceptive pill with only a low progesterone content, medicines or vitamin A supplements that contain high levels of vitamin A (more than 5000 IU per day), and other retinoid medicines such as isotretinoin....
