Aciloc RD Tablet
Description
Aciloc RD Tablet is a commonly prescribed medication for treating acid reflux disease (GERD). It helps alleviate symptoms such as heartburn, chest pain, irritation, bloating, and discomfort caused by excess stomach acid entering the oesophagus. By managing acid reflux, Aciloc RD offers long-lasting relief and helps prevent further damage to the oesophagus.
This tablet contains two active ingredients: Omeprazole and Domperidone. Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces acid production in the stomach. Simultaneously, Domperidone aids by improving stomach emptying and preventing the backflow of stomach contents into the food pipe. Together, they provide effective relief from acidity, indigestion, and associated symptoms.
For optimal results, Aciloc RD Tablet should be taken at least 30 minutes before meals, preferably in the morning. The dosage and duration should be strictly followed as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking the medication suddenly, even if symptoms improve, without consulting your doctor.
Some individuals may experience mild side effects such as headache, nausea, dry mouth, diarrhoea, or stomach pain while taking Aciloc RD. Serious side effects are rare; however, if you notice irregular heartbeat, dizziness, or severe stomach discomfort, seek medical advice immediately. Always inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking other medicines.
Other similar medicines containing Omeprazole and Domperidone include Omez DSR capsule, Omee D capsule and Gaspaz capsule. In addition to taking Aciloc RD, adopting lifestyle changes is crucial. These include avoiding spicy and oily foods, not lying down immediately after meals, having dinner at least 3 hours before bedtime, quitting smoking, reducing alcohol intake, and staying physically active to manage acid reflux better.
