Medical Description

Nebicard T tablet is a combination of two medications - nebivolol and telmisartan - that belong to the antihypertensive drug class. It is prescribed to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) when single-agent therapy is insufficient. Hypertension occurs when the blood force against artery walls remains persistently elevated, leading to severe damage to blood vessels supplying vital organs such as the heart, kidneys, or brain. If left untreated, hypertension can cause serious complications such as heart attack, heart failure, stroke, or even blindness. Nebicard T tablet lowers blood pressure, thereby reducing the risk of heart attack (myocardial infarction) or stroke. During treatment with Nebicard T tablet, your doctor will monitor your kidney function, blood pressure, electrolyte levels, and blood sugar levels closely to minimize the risk of side effects.

Nebicard T tablet is a blood pressure medication. It is prescribed to treat high blood pressure.

Contraindications of NEBICARD T STRIP OF 10 TABLETS

If you are allergic to telmisartan or nebivolol or any ingredients of Nebicard T tablet.
If you are pregnant or may be pregnant, treatment should be discontinued if pregnancy is detected.
If you have an obstruction or blockage in your bile duct (a duct that carries bile from the liver to gallbladder).
If you have severe liver disease or liver failure or kidney function problem.
If you have diabetes or kidney impairment and you are been treated with aliskiren (to treat high blood pressure).
If you are experiencing heartbeats slower than regular (bradycardia).
If you have poor blood circulation.
If you are consuming other medicines with ingredients floctafenine (an anti-inflammatory agent) and sultopride (used to treat brain-related disorder) and heart medications.
If you are suffering from excessive acid production in the body due to the body's inability to excrete acid/imbalance in the body's acid-base levels (metabolic acidosis).

Other General Warnings

Talk to your doctor if

You have kidney disease or have had a kidney transplant or liver disease.
You are known to have narrowing or blockage of the blood vessels of one or both kidneys.
You are having diarrhoea, vomiting as this can cause dehydration and lead to low blood pressure. Consume plenty of water and fluids.
You are suffering from water and salt retention in the body along with imbalance of various blood minerals (raised aldosterone levels).
You have an increased level of potassium in your blood.
You are diabetic, have low blood pressure problem (hypotension) or any heart disorder.
You are taking blood pressure-lowering medicines such as ramipril or lisinopril.
