Mucopain gel is used to reduce the pain or discomfort of mouth problems such as mouth ulcers, toothache or pain due to dentures. It contains Benzocaine as its active ingredient. It is meant for external use only and should be used in doses and duration as recommended by the doctor.
Uses
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to benzocaine or any other ingredients of Mucopain gel.
- If you have a certain blood disorder where you cannot convert methaemoglobin to haemoglobin.
- Mucopain gel is not recommended in patients below 12 years of age.specific

- You have a family history of a blood disorder known as methaemoglobinaemia.
- It should be used only for a short duration and not continuously. Do not use it more than recommended by the doctor.
- You experience any local skin reaction.
- You should avoid drinking hot liquid while using this gel.
- Mucopain gel is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age.
