Molecule Description
Prasugrel is used to prevent the formation of blood clots.
Uses
Prasugrel is used in combination with low dose Aspirin in patients with chest pain, stroke, and heart attacks that have undergone angioplasty procedures (a procedure to open blocked blood vessels that supply blood to the heart). In some processes, a tube (stent) is placed in one or more coronary arteries. Prasugrel is used to prevent thrombosis.

Mode of Action
How Does It Work?
Prasugrel is an inhibitor of platelet (type of blood cells) activation and aggregation. This prevents platelets from forming a clot, and the blood can flow easily.

- Blood thinners such as Warfarin, Heparin
- Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (pain killers) such as Ibuprofen and Naproxen
