Molecule Description
Beclometasone+Clotrimazole is a prescription medicine used to treat fungal infections in the toes, inner thighs, arms, and legs. It is also helpful for skin infections like ringworm and athlete's foot. Beclometasone+Clotrimazole contains a combination of two medicines: beclometasone and clotrimazole.
Clotrimazole is an antifungal medication that stops the growth of fungi by disrupting their cell membranes. Beclometasone is a steroid medication that reduces inflammation and itching associated with fungal infections.
It is meant for external use only. This medicine should be used per the medical prescription, as directed by the doctor, and for the exact duration it is prescribed. Beclometasone+Clotrimazole should be spread thinly and evenly over the affected area, and it should not be applied to broken or irritated skin. If there is no improvement in symptoms after several weeks of treatment, or if symptoms worsen, medical attention should be sought.
Beclometasone+Clotrimazole, like all medications, may cause side effects in some people. Skin irritation, burning, stinging, or itching may occur at the application site. Rarely, allergic reactions such as swelling and rash may occur. If you experience any side effects while using Beclometasone+Clotrimazole, stop using it immediately and contact your healthcare provider.
