Concor Cor tablet is a blood pressure-reducing medicine used to treat high blood pressure and angina (chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart). It contains bisoprolol as the active ingredient that works by slowing the heart rate and relaxing blood vessels, thus reducing high blood pressure.
Concor Cor tablet is also used to improve heart function and reduce the risk of worsening heart failure, and may be given after a heart attack to lower the risk of another heart attack. It may also help reduce symptoms of an overactive thyroid gland when used alongside other treatments.
High blood pressure and angina are critical health conditions that, if not treated well, may affect other organs of the body, including the heart, blood vessels, kidneys and brain, and may lead to medical conditions like heart attack, heart failure, vision loss and kidney failure.
Concor Cor tablets should be taken in the exact dose and duration as prescribed by the doctor. It can be taken with or without food. It is important to take medicine at the same time every day.
Do not stop taking Concor Cor tablet suddenly without talking to your doctor, as this can increase the risk of chest pain or a heart attack.
Along with medicines, other lifestyle modifications such as eating a healthy diet low in salt and fat, staying active, maintaining a healthy weight and avoiding smoking and alcohol consumption may help you to effectively manage high blood pressure.
You should also inform your doctor about your complete medical history before starting treatment with Concor Cor tablets. It is not recommended for use in patients under 18 years of age.
