Zaptra Ls contains two essential medicines, one is paroxetine, and the other is clonazepam.
Paroxetine acts by increasing serotonin (a chemical responsible for happiness and stabilising mood) levels in the brain, thereby improving mood.
Clonazepam acts by increasing the levels of GABA (Gamma-aminobutyric acid). There are different types of chemical messengers in the brain. Some excite the nerve cells, while some inhibit their excitation. GABA is an inhibitory chemical messenger that calms the nerve cells, hence its role in anxiety and panic disorders....

- The medicine comes in both tablet and suspension form.
- The dose is prescribed according to age and other comorbid conditions. For instance, if a patient with an anxiety disorder has some liver dysfunction as well, then the doctor might need to decrease the dose....
- Have this medicine with food or just after your food as it would decrease the likelihood of side effects. Try to have it at a fixed time to maintain its consistent levels in the blood.
