Medical Description
Xol suspension is an antibiotic medicine used to treat certain bacterial infections of the urinary tract, digestive tract, female reproductive organs, skin and soft tissues, and lungs. It contains ofloxacin, which kills susceptible bacteria by blocking enzymes they need to copy and repair their genetic material. This action stops bacterial growth and helps the body clear the infection. Xol suspension is taken by mouth as prescribed, with or without food, and is not useful for viral illnesses such as a common cold.
