Do not miss any dose or abruptly stop taking this tablet without informing your doctor. Patients are advised to maintain a strict exercise and diet regimen along with this medicine to get the best possible effect.
To prevent low blood glucose levels, it's important to have regular meals, carry a fast-acting source of glucose, and avoid alcohol. It is also advised to always keep candy or chocolate with them while going out in case they suddenly feel symptoms of low blood sugar levels like dizziness, irritability, hunger pangs, and sweating.
The most common side effects of Voglistar Gm tablet include low blood glucose levels (hypoglycemia), taste changes, nausea, diarrhoea, stomach pain, headache, oedema (swelling), blurred vision, bone fracture, and upper respiratory tract infection. Some people may also experience weight gain.
Avoid taking this medication if you have type 1 diabetes mellitus, diabetic ketoacidosis (high levels of acid in your blood), or severe kidney or liver disease. Inform your doctor before taking this medicine if you have a history of heart disease, as it may not be suitable for you. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking it.
