Ventab Xl 37.5 mg Tab is a prescription medicine used for the treatment of major depressive disorder. It belongs to an antidepressant class of medications. Venlafaxine is the active ingredient of Ven

tab Xl Tab. This medicine only provides symptomatic relief from depression. While symptoms may start improving after 1-2 weeks, Ventab Xl Tablet usually takes 4-6 weeks to show full effect. Side effects of Ventab Xl Tab include drowsiness, difficulty in sleeping, hot flashes, dry mouth, lethargy and headaches. So, while on this medication, all activities that require mental alertness and coordination should be avoided. Use of Ventab Xl Tab may cause suicidal tendencies and ideation, especially in adolescents and young adults. Therefore, it is recommended to stay in contact with your consulting physician for the entire duration of the treatment. Stopping Ventab Xl Tab abruptly may cause withdrawal symptoms such as drowsiness, abnormal sensations over skin, agitation, nausea and irritability.
