Typbar Tcv Injection 0.5ml Pfs
Description
Typbar TCV vaccine is used to protect against typhoid fever. Typhoid fever is an infection caused by a bacteria called Salmonella Typhi. This vaccine helps your body build protection against this bacteria. This helps your body learn to fight off typhoid in the future.
Typbar TCV vaccine must be administered by a healthcare professional, such as a doctor or nurse. This vaccine is recommended for travelers visiting areas where there is a recognized risk of exposure to typhoid. Its effectiveness lasts for approximately three years following vaccination. To maintain immunity, a booster injection is necessary every three years.
After receiving this vaccine, you may experience temporary side effects, such as pain, swelling, or redness at the injection site, as well as a mild fever or headache. These reactions are generally mild and should resolve on their own. However, if these symptoms persist or worsen, it is essential to consult your doctor for guidance on managing them.
Before getting vaccinated, make sure to inform your doctor about any medical conditions you have and any medications you are currently taking. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is recommended that you seek specific guidance from your doctor.
