Tetanus Toxoid injection cannot treat an existing tetanus infection; it is only effective as a preventive measure before exposure to the bacteria. Individuals with acute infections or those who have previously experienced allergies to vaccinations or blood products should avoid receiving Tetanus Toxoid injection. Pregnant and breastfeeding women may receive Tetanus Toxoid injection if prescribed by their doctor.
