Uses
- For pre-operative dilation of pupil (mydriasis).
- For diagnostic purposes when treatment with either tropicamide or phenylephrine is not sufficient.
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to tropicamide, phenylephrine or any other ingredient of Tropicacyl Plus Eye Drop.
- If you have glaucoma or eye condition such as changes in iris of the eye.
- Tropicacyl Plus should not be used for children below 12 years of age.

- If you experience visual disturbance, take an attendant along with you.
- You use contact lenses.
- Protect your eye from bright light after using this Eye Drop.
- You have severe dry eyes.
- You have any other eye disease or conditions, such as glaucoma.
- You have any heart, liver or kidney condition.
- You have diabetes, blood pressure, thyroid, cholesterol.
- Tropicacyl Plus should not be used for children below 12 years of age.
Directions for Use
- Use this medicine as instructed by your doctor.
- Follow directions carefully & do not miss doses.
- Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying.
- Close your eyes for 2-3 minutes and do not blink or squeeze.
- Avoid touching your eyes with the dropper and it must be kept clean.
- Wipe any excess liquid from your face with a tissue.
- Use the exact number of drops recommended.
Storage and disposal
- Store it at a temperature not exceeding 15°C - 25°C. Protect it from freezing.
- Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
- Discard the solution if it changes colour, turns cloudy or if it contains particles.

Overdose
- As Tropicacyl Plus Eye Drop is meant for external application, cases of overdose are unlikely. However, upon accidental ingestion, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.
- If you have applied extra quantities of it, wipe out the excess of the medicine with tissue or cotton.

How Does It Work?
- Tropicamide acts by relaxing the sphincter muscles of the eye, thus dilating the pupil.
- Phenylephrine acts by constricting the blood vessels and relaxing the eye muscles, thereby dilating the pupil.
