Tripmate Tablet is an anti-epileptic medicine. It contains topiramate as the active substance. It is used for the management of epilepsy/fits. Epilepsy is a brain disorder that causes a temporary fau

lt in the brain's electrical activity. This causes people to have seizures and convulsions. Tripmate Tablet is also used to prevent migraine headaches in adults. It works by stopping the abnormal excitation of brain cells in a part of the brain or the whole brain and, in turn, stops the generation of seizures. Take this medicine in the exact dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take more than the recommended dose. Do not stop taking this medicine on your own. Before starting Tripmate Tablet, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history.

Contraindications of Tripmate 50 MG

If you are allergic to topiramate or any of the other ingredients of Tripmate Tablet.
For migraine prevention: if you are pregnant or capable of having children and not using effective methods of birth control.

Pregnancy

Can I take Tripmate Tablet during pregnancy?

Breast Feeding

Can I take Tripmate Tablet while breastfeeding?

Tripmate Tablet may pass into human breast milk. Thus, your doctor will decide whether to discontinue breastfeeding or discontinue the medicine based on the need and the risk.

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Tripmate Tablet?

Directions for Use of Tripmate 50 MG

Tripmate Tablet should be taken exactly as directed by your doctor.
Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water.
Do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
It would be best if you took it at a fixed time for optimal results.
Do not consume more than the dose prescribed by your doctor.

Some medicines can affect the way Tripmate Tablet works or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.

Overdose

Symptoms of overdose of Tripmate Tablet include sleepiness, blurring of vision, dizziness, low mood, etc.

Missed a Dose

If you have missed taking any dose of Tripmate Tablet, then take it as soon as you remember.
If it's already time for the next dose then skip the missed dose and follow the regular dosing schedule.
