Trioderm cream contains a combination of Fluocinolone, Miconazole and Neomycin. It is used to treat inflammation and swelling in various skin conditions suspected to have bacterial or fungal skin infections. It helps in reducing symptoms such as redness, swelling and itching. Do not use this medicine to treat any other skin conditions than those prescribed by your doctor.
Trioderm cream is meant only for external application and should be applied exactly as recommended by your doctor. You may experience some application site reactions as side effects while on treatment with this medicine, but they normally fade away with time. But if you feel the side effects persist or your condition worsens, you should contact your doctor immediately. Before using this medicine, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history.
Uses
- Trioderm cream is used to treat various types of skin conditions (inflammation and infections) associated with bacterial or fungal infections.
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to Fluocinolone, Neomycin, Miconazole or any of the ingredients in Trioderm cream.
- If you have chickenpox, shingles, warts or any other wounds or skin infections.
- If you have acne, infections on the face, or in and around the private parts.
- If you have any untreated skin infections or a skin thinning problem.
- This medicine should not be used for a nappy rash.

- Burning sensation, itching, irritation, rash, dryness, redness of skin at the area Trioderm cream is applied.

- You have had an allergic reaction to any steroids.
- You are applying Trioderm cream on a cut or broken skin, acne, or on a larger skin area.
- You should avoid getting this medicine into your eyes, nose, mouth, open wounds, armpits or private parts. In case of such an exposure, you should wash the affected part thoroughly with water.
- You develop an allergic reaction or an infection after using Trioderm cream. Immediately contact your doctor.
- You are also applying other topical medicines.
- You do not notice any improvement in your condition after applying this medicine for 7 days.
- This medicine should not be used to treat any other condition than that prescribed by the doctor.
- Do not cover the affected area of skin with a bandage or occlusive dressing.
- Trioderm cream must not be used for a longer duration without proper medical guidance.
Directions for Use
- Trioderm cream is meant for external use only.
- Use it as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
- Read the instructions on the label or leaflet before use.
- Clean and dry the infected area well.
- Apply a thin layer of Trioderm cream on the affected skin surface free from cuts and wounds.
- Avoid touching the tip of the container directly to the infected area of the skin.
- Wash your hands before and after using this medicine unless your hands are the area to be treated.
- In case your eyes come in contact with this medicine, rinse your eyes with clean water immediately.

- Store Trioderm cream in the original container in a clean and dry place, protected from moisture, sunlight and heat.
- Keep the medicine away from children and pets.
- Do not use expired or damaged medicines.
