Medical Description

Travstar-T eye drop is a combination medicine used to lower raised pressure inside the eye in open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. It contains travoprost and timolol. The travoprost component helps eye fluid drain more easily, while timolol reduces fluid production, so pressure on the optic nerve is lowered. Travstar-T eye drop is applied directly to the affected eye as prescribed and is not swallowed. It is intended for ongoing pressure control under an eye specialist's care.

Uses

  • Open-angle glaucoma: Lowering pressure inside the eye helps reduce gradual stress and damage to the optic nerve.
  • Ocular hypertension: Raised pressure inside the eye can increase the risk of optic nerve damage; this medicine lowers the pressure to help protect vision.
