Description
Telista Trio CL 5mg tablet is an anti-hypertensive medicine used to treat high blood pressure. It contains three agents: Telmisartan, an angiotensin receptor blocker, Chlorthalidone, a long-acting di
uretic, and Cilnidipine, a calcium antagonist. This medicine helps lower blood pressure very comfortably without damaging other mechanisms and protects vital organs in patients with chronic ailments. You can take this tablet with or without food. Do not stop the medications abruptly without consulting the doctor. If you observe any severe side effects, inform the doctor immediately. Do not exceed the recommended dose in 24 hours. It should be stored at room temperature, away from sunlight and moisture.

How Does It Work?
Directions for Use
- Telista Trio CL 5mg is to be taken orally as directed by the physician
- Do not break, crush or chew the tablet
- Swallow the tablet with a glass of water
- You can take it with or without food
- Do not take more than the recommended dose
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Cilnidipine may interact with aldesleukin, quinidine, phenytoin, rifampicin, erythromycin, other
- anti-hypertensive drugs and anti-psychotic agents to cause side effects.
- Telmisartan, along with NSAIDs, combined use of Renin-Angiotensin System inhibitors, COX -2 inhibitors, and colesevelam hydrochloride can deteriorate renal function.
- Concomitant use of angiotensin II receptor antagonists with lithium can cause an increase in serum lithium concentrations
- Diuretics increase the effect of guanethidine, methyldopa, β-blockers, vasodilators, calcium antagonists and ACE inhibitors
- Diuretics along with corticosteroids, ACTH, ß2 – agonists, amphotericin and carbenoxolone can lead to low potassium levels
- atropine, biperiden can increase the effect of diuretics
- Colestyramine can reduce the effect of Chlorthalidone
- Diuretics and cyclosporin may cause an increase in uric acid levels.
Other general Interactions
- Avoid Telista Trio CL 5mg tablet in elderly patients; volume-depleted patients
- Monitor patients who are on Telista Trio CL 5mg along with potassium supplements
- Avoid this medicine in patients with progressive disease of liver disease, kidney disease or electrolyte imbalance
- Avoid this medicine in patients who complain of chest pain after the intake
Storage and disposal
- Store at room temperature between 20 to 25° C
- Protect from light and moisture
- Keep away from children
- Keep the medication away from the reach of children and pets
- Do not flush the expired or unneeded tablets or throw them in household waste; instead, talk to your pharmacist regarding the safe way to discard them
