Medical Description
Tazotime injection is used in hospital care for bacterial infections affecting the ear, sinuses, throat, lungs, urinary tract, skin, teeth, joints or bones. It contains a combination of piperacillin, a penicillin antibiotic that stops bacteria building their protective wall, and tazobactam, which blocks bacterial enzymes that can weaken piperacillin. Together they help clear infections caused by bacteria that can be treated by this combination. Tazotime injection is given by a doctor or nurse in a hospital or clinic, with treatment selected for the infection and kidney function. It is used only for bacterial infections, not viral illnesses.
