Sulpitac Md 50 MG Description
Sulpitac Md is a medication used to treat acute and chronic schizophrenia (it is a brain disorder causing feelings of hallucinations, disorientation, loss of coordination, forgetfulness, depression o
r anxiety, leading to poor quality of life). The main ingredient in Sulpitac Md is amisulpride. Amisulpride belongs to an antipsychotic class of medicines. The medicine acts by decreasing the excess action of chemical messengers in our brain called dopamine. The patient needs to give a detailed history to their doctor before taking this medicine. You may experience side effects like dizziness, muscle tremors, dry mouth or unexplained weight gain.

- You have/had a history of kidney problems.
- You are on anti-Parkinson's medications.
- You are on any blood thinners, or any of your family members suffer from clots or if you have high prolactin levels.
Mode of Action of Sulpitac Md 50 MG
How Does It Work?
Directions for Use of Sulpitac Md 50 MG
- Sulpitac Md is to be taken with water.
- Usually, it is expected to be taken at the same time every day.
- Doses of up to 300mg can be taken as a single dose, but a higher dose is split to be taken morning and night.
- The medication is usually prescribed to be taken before bedtime.
Interactions of Sulpitac Md 50 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Sulpitac Md is not to be taken when you are on medicine for another condition called Parkinson's disease.
- It cannot be taken along with other medications known to increase the effects of dopamine in the brain (E.g. ropinirole). These medicines are called dopamine-agonists.
Interactions with food items
- Sulpitac Md may be taken with or without food since no specific interactions are noted. Sulpitac Md may cause unusual weight gain after prolonged use. So it is advised to maintain a healthy diet (like low fats and sugars) and follow an active lifestyle like exercising/yoga, etc....
