Mode of Action of Roxee 150 MG
How Does It Work?
Roxithromycin prevents bacterial growth by binding to the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome and thus, interfering with their protein synthesis.
Directions for Use of Roxee 150 MG
- Always take this medicine exactly as directed by your doctor. Please take the tablet as a whole with a glass of water.
Interactions of Roxee 150 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Digoxin, when used along with roxithromycin, may increase absorption
- Midazolamtaken with roxithromycin increases its half-life
- Disopyramide removes roxithromycin from its protein binding site
- Terfenadine elevates the serum level of roxithromycin, leading to ventricular arrhythmias
Storage and disposal of Roxee 150 MG
Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Store at room temperature below 25°C. Store in the original package. Please do not use the tablets past its date of expiry.
