Uses of Rioci 1 MG
- Pulmonary arterial hypertension
- Chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension
Contraindications of Rioci 1 MG
- Severe liver impairment
- Patients with systolic pressure <95 mm Hg at the start of treatment
- Patients with pulmonary hypertension associated with idiopathic interstitial pneumonia
- Co-administration with PDE5 inhibitors
- Co-administration with nitrates or nitric oxide donors
- Concomitant use with other soluble guanylate cyclase stimulators
- Allergy to riociguat or any other excipients

Directions for Use of Rioci 1 MG
- Take this medication as per the doctor's prescription
- Do not crush, chew or break the tablet
- Swallow the tablet with water
- Do not exceed the number of the prescribed dose
Interactions of Rioci 1 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- An increase in area under curve (AUC) of riociguat is observed when highly active antiretroviral therapy combinations are concomitantly administered
- Concomitant administration of ketoconazole increases the mean AUC of riociguat
- Inhibitors for the UDP-Glykosyltransferases may potentially increase the exposure of riociguat metabolite
- Strong CYP1A1 inhibitors should be used with caution as it may increase the risk of riociguat exposure
- Medicinal products that increase gastric pH should be used with caution as they may lead to lower oral bioavailability of riociguat
- Concomitant use with CYP3A4 inducers leads to a decrease of riociguat steady-state plasma concentration
- Riociguat exposure is reduced by 50-60% in cigarette smokers
- Concomitant use of PDE5 inhibitors showed additive systemic blood pressure-lowering effect with riociguat
