Medical Description

RFX 400 Tablet is an antibiotic (kills bacteria) used to treat hepatic encephalopathy, a condition in which the liver fails to eliminate toxic poisons from the blood, eventually resulting in brain damage. Symptoms of this disease include agitation, perplexity, muscle pain, trouble speaking, and, in rare cases, unconsciousness. RFX 400 Tablet is also used in adults and children to treat infectious diarrhoea and irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhoea (IBS-D). This medication can be taken on its own or in conjunction with other medicines, as per the doctor's recommendations. It can be taken with or without food and should be taken every day at the same time for the best results. You should keep taking it for as long as your doctor recommends. Stopping it too soon could cause the illness to resurface, making it even more challenging to treat. After taking this medication, some people may experience nausea, vomiting, headaches, dizziness, and vertigo. These side effects are usually minor and disappear as your body adjusts to the medication throughout the treatment. Talk to your doctor if these side effects bother you or do not go away. Your urine may become a reddish colour as a result of this medication which is, nevertheless, a fairly common and harmless sign. Before starting therapy with this medicine, notify your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have any liver, kidney, or heart problems, or if you are allergic to any medicine.
