Revocon Tablet is a prescribed medicine that contains tetrabenazine as an active ingredient. It is used for the treatment of Huntington's disease, an inherited condition in which nerve cells in the b
rain get affected and leads to involuntary movement, lack of concentration and understanding, mood swings, hallucination or other psychiatric symptoms. Before starting the treatment you should tell your doctor if you have ever had or had a family history of depression or any psychotic disorders. You must not stop this medicine suddenly as it may worsen the condition. Also, try to take the medicine same time every day for effective treatment.

- If you are allergic to this medicine or any of the ingredient of this medicine.
- If you usually have thoughts of killing yourself or untreated/undertreated psychiatric disorder.
- If you are suffering from tumors associated with adrenal or pituitary gland and breast cancer.
- If you are breastfeeding.
- If you are suffering from Parkinson's disease.
- If you already taking medicines to control high blood pressure and psychiatric disorders like reserpine, selegiline, phenelzine etc.

- You are suffering from a liver problem.
- You may feel depressed or it may worsen the condition if you already have any kind of brain disorder. Close monitoring of such patients is required if being treated with this medicine.
- You have any kind of heart-related problem and already taking medicines for a heart condition.
- You may start feeling some mental changes like confusion or hallucination, muscle stiffness or fever, such a condition is called Neuroleptic.
- Malignant Syndrome. In such situations, the treatment should be discontinued immediately and start an alternative therapy.
- You may experience unusual changes in behaviour or may have suicidal thoughts.
- It must be informed to the patient's family members or caretakers about the risk of self-harm kind of thought. They must inform the treating physician if they find such signs in the patient.
- Your physician may gradually increase your dose for several weeks to find the suitable dose for you in order to avoid the risk of side effects.

Interactions of Revocon 25 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Concomitant use of Revocon Tablet and medicine to treat psychotic disorders like reserpine, selegiline etc. should be avoided.
- Concomitant use Revocon Tablet with a certain type of medicines to treat psychotic disorders, opioids (painkillers), medicines to control high blood pressure and sleeping pills should be avoided.
- Other medicines like fluoxetine, paroxetine, terbinafine, moclobemide and quinidine should be used with caution if taken along with Revocon Tablet. The doctor may reduce the dose of Revocon Tablet.
- Levodopa should be used with caution if taken along with this medicine.
- Caution is advised if medicines to treat psychotic disorders (like chlorpromazine, thioridazine), antibiotics like gatifloxacin, moxifloxacin, and medicines used for heart conditions like quinidine, procainamide, amiodarone, sotalol, if used simultaneously with Revocon Tablet....

- Don’t stop taking medicine suddenly or don't miss the dose frequently, otherwise, involuntary movements may return or get worsen 12-18 hours after the last dose of Revocon Tablet.
