Description

Revclin gel contains a combination of clindamycin and nicotinamide, an antibiotic and a form of Vitamin B3 respectively. Revclin gel helps in reducing acne, blackheads and whiteheads, also helps in p

reventing acne and reducing acne scars. This gel should be used externally only. Side effects of Revclin gel are burning sensation, skin dryness and itching. Usually these side effects resolve on their own but if it bothers you, consult your doctor immediately. Avoid excessive use of makeup, and other products on your skin when using this gel. Do not pop acne as it may lead to bacteria & pus spreading on the skin that can lead to the spread of acne and acne scar.

Pregnancy

Can I use Revclin gel during pregnancy?

Revclin gel is applied to the skin, and the quantities in which it may get absorbed is too little. Thus, the chances of any effect of it on pregnancy are rare. However, this medicine should be used only under medical supervision as components of this medicine are known to be unsafe during pregnancy, especially in the first trimester. In case you are prescribed this gel, avoid using it on larger skin areas for a prolonged time.

Breast Feeding

Can I use Revclin gel while breastfeeding?

Revclin gel can be used while breastfeeding if prescribed by the doctor. It should not be applied to the breast or areas near the breast of breastfeeding mother as there can be chances of ingestion by a breastfed infant. Avoid long term use or applying it on large areas of the skin.

Driving

Can I drive if I have applied Revclin gel?

Revclin gel is for external use and is less likely to influence your ability to drive.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Revclin gel?

There is no direct interaction between alcohol and Revclin gel, but you should avoid consuming alcohol as it can worsen the infection and inflammation, and may also delay the healing process.
