Reluease Strip Of 10 Tablets
Description
Reluease tablets contain a combination of three active ingredients: relugolix, estradiol, and norethisterone acetate. Relugolix works by blocking GnRH receptors in the brain to reduce the production of ovarian hormones, while estradiol and norethisterone help maintain hormone levels similar to the early follicular phase of a menstrual cycle to protect bone mineral density. This medication is specifically indicated for adult women of reproductive age to treat moderate to severe symptoms of uterine fibroids and for the symptomatic treatment of endometriosis.
The treatment is used to reduce heavy menstrual bleeding and relieve pelvic pain or discomfort associated with uterine fibroids. For women with endometriosis, it helps decrease pelvic pain, dysmenorrhoea, and pain experienced during intercourse. It is intended for use in women who have not yet reached menopause and, in the case of endometriosis, those with a history of previous medical or surgical treatment.
Patients should take one tablet once daily at approximately the same time, with or without food. Treatment should ideally begin within the first five days of the onset of menstrual bleeding. If a single dose is missed, it should be taken as soon as possible; however, if two or more tablets are missed consecutively, patients must consult their doctor and use nonhormonal contraception for the next seven days.
This medication is strictly contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It must not be taken by individuals with a history of blood clots, arterial thromboembolic disease, known osteoporosis, liver tumors, or severe liver disease. Additionally, it should not be used by those with unexplained genital bleeding, migraine with aura, or known sex-steroid influenced malignancies.
Commonly reported side effects include headaches, hot flushes, irritability, nausea, and increased sweating. Some women may also experience a decreased interest in sex, hair loss, joint pain, or dryness in the genital area. While the medication usually reduces menstrual bleeding, some patients may experience excessive, irregular, or prolonged uterine bleeding during treatment.
