Description
Razium Injection is an antacid. It is used for the short-term treatment of stomach and intestinal ulcers and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in adults. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) i
s a condition in which stomach acid flows back into your food pipe. Razium Injection contains rabeprazole as the active substance. This medicine will be given in a hospital or clinic setting by your doctor or nurse. Do not self-inject. Before using Razium Injection, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant or breastfeeding, and about your complete medical history. Also, inform about all the medicines and supplements that you take.

- You are taking anticoagulant medicines called warfarin, medicines for treating fluid accumulation in the body (diuretics), medicines for the management of rheumatoid arthritis/cancer (methotrexate) or HIV/AIDS (atazanavir). If you are not sure what these medicines are, please confirm with your doctor....
- You develop symptoms like fever, blood in urine, change in urine output, confusion, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, rashes, swelling in any part of the body or weight gain from swelling after taking this medicine. Inform your doctor immediately....
- You develop diarrhoea that does not get better.
- You have weak bones or pain in your joints.
- You develop a rash after taking Razium Injection, especially in areas exposed to the sun.
- You have low levels of vitamin B12/cyanocobalamin or magnesium.
- You have a tumour in the stomach.
- You have liver disorders.
- You are scheduled to have a specific blood test (Chromogranin A).
- You are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant or breastfeeding.

Interactions of Razium 20 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way Razium Injection works or this medicine itself may interfere with the working of other medicines.
- Inform your doctor about all other medicines, herbals or supplements that you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
- Anticoagulant medicines like warfarin may increase the bleeding time.
- Particular care should be taken if you are taking medicines that modify the immune system (cyclosporine, mycophenolate mofetil), medicines for treating fungal infections (ketoconazole), heart failure (digoxin), HIV/AIDS (nelfinavir), rheumatoid arthritis (methotrexate), iron deficiency anaemia (iron salts) and cancer (erlotinib)....
- Medicines used for the treatment of bacterial infections (clarithromycin, amoxicillin) should not be used together with Razium Injection.
Storage and disposal of Razium 20 MG
- Store Razium Injection in a cool and dry place below 30°C away from direct sunlight.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Dosage of Razium 20 MG
Overdose
- Razium Injection will be given to you by a doctor or nurse and thus, the chances of an overdose are unlikely.
- However, if you feel you have overdosed on this medicine, talk to your doctor or visit the nearest hospital immediately.
Missed a Dose
- It is unlikely that a dose of Razium Injection will be missed if you are monitored in a healthcare setup.
- However, if you have missed taking a dose of the injection, inform the doctor or nurse immediately.
