Qutan Sr 100 mg is an antipsychotic medicine used to manage schizophrenia. The other uses of Qutan Sr 100 mg are in managing symptoms of manic disorder, and bipolar mood disorders. Quetiapine is the
active compound of Qutan Sr 100 mg Tablet. It works by preventing the release of dopamine, a brain hormone linked to the onset of symptoms in schizophrenia and bipolar illness. Other neurotransmitters in the brain, such as serotonin, are influenced by Qutan Sr 100 mg Tablet. Qutan Sr 100 mg Tablet improves thinking, mood, and behaviour by rebalancing dopamine and serotonin. Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, dry mouth, abnormal muscle movements, tremors, weight gain, decrease in haemoglobin levels, and changes in cholesterol levels are all possible side effects of Qutan Sr 100 mg. Please do not stop taking Qutan Sr 100 mg Tablet without consulting the doctor, since withdrawal symptoms may occur. If you have difficulties with your liver, kidneys, or heart, tell your doctor before taking Qutan Sr 100 mg Tablet. This medicine may be unsafe for children and adolescents under the age of 18. Uses of Qutan Sr 100 MG
- Treatment of bipolar disorder to alleviate symptoms such as sadness and irritability.
- Management of manic disorders, to reduce symptoms such as nervousness, panic, and fear.
- Treatment of schizophrenia and its symptoms.
Contraindications of Qutan Sr 100 MG
- If you have a known allergy to Qutan Sr 100 mg or other inactive components in the formulation should not take this medication.
- If you have a known history of narrow-angle glaucoma, because of the increased risk of the patient's condition worsening.
- If you have a history of urine retention, due to the increased risk of the patient's condition worsening.
- If you have high blood pressure or kidney issues.
- If you have taken monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOs) in the last 15 days, you should not use Qutan Sr 100 mg tablet.

How Does It Work?
Directions for Use of Qutan Sr 100 MG
- The oral tablet and injectable formulations of Qutan Sr 100mg tablet are both available.
- The dosage of Qutan Sr 100mg is to be determined by the psychiatrist.
- With a glass of water, swallow the pill whole. This tablet should not be chewed, crushed, or damaged.
- Qutan Sr 100 mg can be taken with or without food.
- If given once a day, it should be taken before sleep. If given twice a day, it is usually taken in the morning and at night.
- Take the prescription at the same time daily.
- Even if symptoms improve, do not stop taking the medicine suddenly.

- Dopamine agonists - The risk of hypertension may be increased with Dopamine agonists.
- Carbamazepine - The concentration of Carbamazepine may be increased when used with Qutan SR.
- Barbiturates - The central nervous system depressant activities may be exaggerated.
- Rifampin - The metabolism of Qutan SR may be increased when combined with Rifampicin.
- Glucocorticoids - The metabolism of Qutan SR may be decreased.
- Cimetidine - The metabolism of Qutan SR may be decreased when combined with Cimetidine.
