Placida plus is a tablet that contains two active ingredients, etizolam and escitalopram. Etizolam belongs to a benzodiazepine analogue called thienodiazepine which acts on the brain and nerves (cent
ral nervous system. It is a fast-acting tranquilliser that interferes with the natural state of neurotransmitters called GABA, causing calmness, anxiolytic, muscle relaxing, and sedation effects. Escitalopram is an antidepressant belonging to a particular category of SSRI or selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. It helps regulate serotonin and other neurotransmitters or brain chemicals whose unbalanced levels are responsible for depression and anxiety disorders.

- If you are a chronic alcoholic
- If you are taking pimozide
- If you have serious liver issues
- If you have low sodium levels
- If you have bleeding disorders

Mode of Action of Placida Plus Strip Of 10 Tablets
How Does It Work?
Etizolam is a thienodiazepine of the benzodiazepine analogue which binds itself to a Gamma-aminobutyric or GABA receptor present in the postsynaptic neuron and enhances its inhibitory action. The increased neuronal excitability to chloride ion results in hyperpolarization of the neuronal membrane and stabilisation.
Escitalopram is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor. As Placida the name suggests, it blocks the reuptake of serotonin between the gap of two neurons, also called inter synaptic cleft, thus increasing the serotonin levels between them. Escitalopram inhibits the reuptake of serotonin....

- Tablet Placida Plus is to be taken as prescribed by your physician.
- Tab.placida plus can be taken orally with or without water.

Missed a Dose
