Uses
- Managing symptoms of bipolar disorder.
- Treatment of schizophrenia.
- Management of depression.
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to Olanzapine or any other active ingredient present in the medication.
- If you have angle-closure glaucoma (a condition where iris of the eye bulges forward and narrows the drainage angle. Olzic Plus can worsen the condition.
- If a patient has Central Nervous System Depression. Using Olzic Plus is not recommended in a coma or unconscious state.
- If you have a history of Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome. Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome is a life-threatening reaction towards antipsychotic medicines.
- If you have Dementia. Olzic Plus is not recommended for patients who have dementia-related psychosis. This medicine can worsen the patient's condition.
- If you have had Tardive Dyskinesia. Another side effect of antipsychotic medicine. It caused stiff, jerky movements.
- If you have had seizures before.

- You are experiencing signs such as decreased rate of breathing or lowered heartbeat, consult a doctor immediately.
- You are experiencing increased heartbeat, irregular pulse, muscle rigidity, increased rate of respiration (tachypnea). If there are any unusual symptoms, report them to a doctor for a more suitable alternative.
- You are elderly with a history of psychotic medicines.
- You plan to conceive.
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You want to stop the medication in between.
Directions for Use
- Take Olzic Plus according to the directions given to you by your doctor.
- The efficacy of Olzic Plus reduces if a tablet is broken down or chewed. Take the tablet as a whole.
- You can take Olzic Plus before or after eating food.
- You can swallow Olzic Plus as a whole with a glass of water.
- Please ensure that you take Olzic Plus at the same time every day. This should be done so that the system has the same level of the medicine in the blood.
- Do not take Olzic Plus for more time than what is recommended by the doctor.
- Do not stop taking Olzic Plus without consulting your doctor.

Interactions with other medicines
- Diazepam (used for the treatment of anxiety, seizures and alcohol withdrawal)
- Tramadol (pain medication similar to opioid and relieves pain)
- Atropine (treats low heart rate, reduces salivation)
- Cetirizine (treats allergy symptoms such as runny nose, itching, sneezing etc)
- Amlodipine (medication that widens blood vessels and treats chest pain)
- Acarbose (slows the digestion of carbohydrates and used to treat type two diabetes)

- Food doesn’t influence the effect of Olzic Plus.
- Before using Olzic Plus talk to your health provider about any supplements or herbal drinks you are currently taking.
